The atmosphere felt muted and I didn't hear the home fans singing at all. We went straight to the Colliery Tavern right beside the ground. The stewards were overall very friendly and helped you find your seat. Would definitely recommend as a stadium to visit. The Stadium of Light looked very good from the outside. The away supporters are located on Level 3 of the Carling Stand, and it is a lot of stairs! As with any modern ground, theStadium of Light looks good from the outside and is equally impressive on the inside. We were advised that we couldsit anywhere we liked which was a nice pleasant surprise. Didn't get any food or drink at the ground. Were they not aware a match was on? As the name of the pub suggests you get some good views along the coast from its location. Our party had a good laugh with the home fans who thought a draw would be the final result.
